¹ For vehicles to be registered in California and in order to avoid SB 210 holds at DMV, your vehicle MUST be reported in CTC-VIS for Clean Truck Check and obtain a compliance certificate at time of DMV renewal starting in 2023.

- ALL Diesel engine vehicles over 14,000 lbs must be reported in the CARB Clean Truck system in order to renew CA registration as of January 2024.
- The vehicle can be reported in system as did not operate in CA in 2024 to waive the 2024 compliance fee per truck, but if registering in current year then fee must be paid for current year.
- Fee payment will generate automatically for current year when vehicle is added.
- Prepare for emissions compliance testing. Emissions compliance testing requirements start January of 2025. Tests can be submitted up to 90 days prior to the testing deadline.
